The Practice aims to provide early solutions to patient’s problems within 24 hours.

Please call the Practice between 8 am and 10 am for an on the day appointment. You will either be offered a face to face appointment or a phone call to discuss your problems to provide appropriate solutions. After 10 am, urgent calls will be dealt on the same day and non urgent calls will be dealt the next day. The appointments will be with a clinician (Nurse, Nurse Practitioner (NP), Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or a GP). In life threatening emergencies please call 999.

The receptionist will ask you to provide a brief description of the nature of your problem. If you are uncomfortable discussing anything you feel is sensitive in nature, please inform our receptionists and your wishes will be respected. Any information obtained is dealt with in the strictest confidence.

Practice Nurse Appointments

Routine nurse appointments are 10 to 15 minutes but in some cases review of certain conditions can take longer for example diabetes or chronic obstructive airways disease (COPD). Currently our two practice nurses have expertise in different specialities, to ensure you are booked in with the correct nurse, you may be asked by the receptionist when booking an appointment your reason for attending.

Healthcare professionals may require a chaperone to be present for certain consultations. All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they feel one is required.

appointmentsPlease Note

Patients failing to attend is depriving others of an appointment and is putting more of a strain on an already busy appointment system.

If you can’t keep it cancel it.

As always please feel free to make any comments or suggestions by letter or by speaking to a member of staff.
